I committed to a life of writing the day I graduated from my senior year Advanced Placement calculus class and said, "never again."
For the last two decades, I have considered it a great privilege to be entrusted to tell people's stories and always aim to find the heart of every piece. My experience is heavily rooted in sports journalism and features, and I also have ample experience in web content, magazine publishing, copy writing, scripting, editing, advancement/fundraising copy, media relations, project management and podcasting.
Outside of my 9-5, I am a mother, wife, wanderluster, movie geek, music aficionado, sports fan and Pelotoner/yogi/runner.

I love a list. My top 5 professional highlights (in no particular order) thus far:
Staff supervisor for three international service-learning trips to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Ireland.
Game coverage at the 2008 MLB World Series and 2007 NCAA Men’s Final Four (including two appearances as a student journalist representing the Independent Florida Alligator on live, national television).
College Sports Communicators Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest 2014 National Story of the Year.
Full-circle moment interviewing my college mentor as part of UCF Athletics’ 12 for XII series.
Two degrees: B.S. in journalism with summa cum laude honors from the University of Florida, 2008; M.S in recreation and sport management from Florida International University, 2011.
